WHAT CHANGED, AND WHY

Material tournament updates are recorded here with a date and source. Design-only changes are grouped separately so factual revisions remain easy to audit.

  1. Planner, tracker, and original mini-game added

Added all-day calendar downloads, personalized date-boundary conversions, regional allocation tracking, and Nexus Defense—an original three-lane browser game using no Riot-owned art or audio. No official match start times were available, so none were inferred.

  2. MSI result reflected in qualification status

Hanwha Life Esports won MSI 2026. The team earned the MSI champion invitation subject to Riot’s home-region playoff condition; the LPL received the additional berth awarded to the runner-up region.

  3. Dates, venues, format, and allocations announced

Riot confirmed the October 15–November 14 tournament window, the Los Angeles–Allen–Brooklyn route, the 19-team field, regional allocations, and the revised four-team Play-In format.

What earns an entry

We record a change when it alters a countdown target, stage date, venue, format description, qualification status, or other claim that could affect a visitor’s plans. Copy edits and visual refinements are not listed individually unless they change meaning.

When sources conflict, first-party LoL Esports or Riot Games announcements take priority. A later official correction takes priority over an earlier one, and uncertain information remains labeled pending.
